The story begins in the midst of the 2020 pandemic where baking became my solace. As a stay-at-home mom with three young children and my husband furloughed, the kitchen became my sanctuary. Amidst the uncertainty, baking sweet bread conchas became more than just a hobby—it became a lifeline, a way to find peace and creativity in the midst of chaos. What started as a simple recipe experiment soon turned into something magical as family, friends, and neighbors raved about the delicious conchas that emerged from my oven.
The overwhelming response to my homemade conchas ignited a spark. It was a leap of faith, but I knew I had to share this love with others. Thus, La Concheria was born – a family business rooted in our home kitchen, fueled by passion, dedication, and a whole lot of love. What started as a weekend online sale has blossomed into a thriving operation. Every step has been a testament to perseverance and the joy of bringing happiness, one delicious concha at a time.
